GeoSERP Chrome extension

Privacy Policy

Effective 15 October 2026

In short

What the extension does

GeoSERP builds ordinary Google search addresses for a country, language and optional city that you choose, then opens them in normal browser tabs. On Google search result pages it shows a small overlay with page navigation and highlights results from domains you have listed.

Data stored on your device

GeoSERP stores only what you type into it, using Chrome's built-in extension storage. The developer never receives this data.

DataWhere it is kept
Saved searches (name, location, city, keywords)chrome.storage.local, on this device only
The current, unsaved form contentschrome.storage.local, on this device only
Your list of domains to highlightchrome.storage.sync, which Chrome may sync between your own signed-in browsers if Chrome Sync is turned on

You can export your saved searches as a JSON file at any time. Removing the extension deletes all of its stored data.

Google search pages

When GeoSERP opens a search, your browser sends that search to Google exactly as if you had typed it yourself. Google's own privacy policy applies to those searches. GeoSERP's script on Google result pages reads the visible results locally to find highlighted domains and count positions. It does not record, store or send anything from those pages.

Permissions

Third parties

GeoSERP contains no third-party code, advertising, analytics or remote code, and shares no data with anyone.
